A picture of the railroad dock at the Punta Gorda Hotel. Fisheries at the end of the dock included J.C. Lewis, West Coast and the Punta Gorda Fish Companies. The boat house seen on the left belonged to Charles Dean of Boston, president of the Hollingworth-Whitney Paper Company. Dean wintered in Punta Gorda and the boat house sheltered his 80-foot steam yacht, the "Aroostook."
