This photo shows the Hinckley-Harvey house at 565 W. Retta Esplanade in the Punta Gorda Historic District. The house was built c.1888 by S.P. Hinckley, who came with the lumber company commissioned in building the Hotel Punta Gorda. Hinckley partnered with Albert Gilchrist, investing in the fishing, cigar and real estate industries. Hinckley's widow, Elva Lorraine, later married Kelly B. Harvey, the surveyor who platted the "town of Trabue" for Col. Isaac Trabue.
