This undated photo shows the old bell tower and a new back porch during renovation of the Virginia House Bed and Breakfast. The structure was originally built as a community meeting hall for the town of Trabue (now Punta Gorda). It was purchased by the Methodist congregation in 1889, and the bell tower and vestibule were added. In 1914 the building was relocated from Marion Avenue to 233 Harvey Street and converted to a residence.
